A little more about me...

I was introduced to design at an early age. I have always gravitated to arts and crafts as a child, playing around with any coloring tools I could get my hands on. I utilized all sorts of canvases, from newspapers to the white walls of my childhood home. (Shoutout to my parents who decided to let me keep my art supplies.)

As I got older, I was heavily influenced by DIY trends and crafted all sorts of different projects. I loved the thought of being able to conceptualize a design and then using my skills to make them a reality. I quickly learned that design was a method of expressing yourself through different mediums and connecting with others without exchanging a word.

I dedicated the majority of my formal education studying science, engineering, and health sciences. As a result, the time I spent designing and crafting was put on hold. After immersing myself in my studies for years, I found myself longing for more creative endeavors. I questioned the career path I was following at the time and looked back at the things I enjoyed doing the most. I took a leap and made the switch of pursuing a career in design.

After earning my Bachelor's of Fine Arts in fashion design and working in the industry, I was able to develop my design skills and explore unique ventures. I'm grateful for the experiences I've had in both of my creative and technical backgrounds. The skills I have established have helped me adapt to all sorts of working environments and learn to work with diverse people.

When I found user experience, I came to a sudden revelation. I found a place where my creative and technical sides could blend. With everything I created, there was more purpose and logical reasonings behind every design decision being made. Having a background in fashion design, I’ve always paid close attention to creating garments that were both functional and attractive. I wanted the wearer of my clothing to look and feel good. Similarly in UX design, my aspiration is for the user to achieve their goals and be delighted.

I believe great designs, when created thoughtfully and with intention, can produce meaningful experiences and help many people along the way.

When I'm not designing I like to...

  • Find local coffee shops
  • Try out new recipes
  • Add new pins to my pin collection
  • Explore new cities
  • Plan the itinerary for my next trip
  • Listen / watch true crime documentaries
